Florida homeowners: a major change is on the way.

A new Florida bill, HB 803, would remove building permit requirements for certain residential work under $7,500. While that may sound more convenient, it could also create serious risks for homeowners.

Permits do more than create paperwork. They help document repairs, confirm code compliance, and provide a record that can matter if you ever need to file a property insurance claim.
