Today, we pause to remember and honor a true Tennessee treasure, Dolly Parton—a woman whose heart for people has always been as big as her talent.

From the Smoky Mountains to communities across our great state, Dolly has given so much: helping families, supporting education, inspiring children to read, caring for those in need, and giving hope to people during some of life’s hardest moments.

She never forgot where she came from, and she never stopped giving back to the people and places that shaped her.
