For the last two days the Madison County Youth Court has reviewed all of the open CPS cases. Every file represents a child currently in state custody. There was another box on Monday that had just as many files. The state is in desperate need of foster families, especially for older children who might be considered a more difficult placement. Nobody would say that fostering is easy, but I guarantee it is rewarding.
