We filed a civil rights lawsuit in federal court on behalf of Richard Lee Richards and Victoria Richards against former Tucson Police Department Officer Ryan Re*****on for shooting and killing Mr. Richards as he sat in his wheelchair. Our goal in filing this lawsuit is to obtain a measure of justice for Richard Lee Richards and his family.

The family of Richard Lee Richards has filed a civil lawsuit against the City of Tucson and Ryan Re*****on, the former Tucson Police Officer who shot and killed Richards in November of 2021.

Former Tucson Police Department Officer Ryan Re*****on is charged with manslaughter for shooting a man in a battery powered wheelchair nine times in November 2021, in Tucson, AZ.

Former Tucson police Officer Ryan Re*****on fatally shot Richard Lee Richards, a man in a motorized wheelchair who was suspected of shoplifting.

Strang Bradley files civil rights lawsuit on behalf of the family of Demetrius Stephenson. Calumet County Jail and Advanced Correctional Healthcare violated Demetrius Stephenson's civil rights when they ignored his serious medical condition and prioritized profits over fulfilling their constitutional obligation to provide adequate medical care.

His family's lawyers say Demetrius Stephenson was mentally ill and suicidal for weeks in the Calumet County Jail, but no one got him the proper care.

Former Tucson Police Department Officer Ryan Re*****on is indicted on manslaughter charges for shooting and killing Richard L. Richards, who was in a battery powered wheelchair.

Authorities say former Tucson, Ariz. officer Ryan Re*****on shot him nine times. The indictment is for manslaughter.

We wanted to make sure that the Pima County Attorney’s Office had the time and space to complete their investigation and make a charging decision. We also wanted Pima County citizens, sitting on a grand jury, to fulfill their duties without our involvement.

Now that Mr. Re*****on has been indicted, though, Mr. Richards’s family will proceed with a civil rights lawsuit against Mr. Re*****on in the next few weeks.

A civil lawsuit is an important part of seeking justice for Mr. Richards and his family, too.

Strang Bradley recently filed three civil rights lawsuits in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against three Green Bay Police Department officers for using excessive force against our clients in three separate incidents in 2018 and 2021.

One incident happened in 2018 and two happened during arrests in January, according to three separate lawsuits claiming police brutality.
