A quick update and a sincere thank you.

Over the past year, my practice has continued to grow, largely because of referrals from clients, other attorneys, local businesses, and people in our community. I’m incredibly grateful for that trust.

With that growth, I’ve also reached the point where I need to be more intentional about how I schedule new-client consultations so that I can continue giving every matter the attention it deserves.

Effective immediately, we are discontinuing free consultations, and all new-client consultations will be scheduled as $100.00 paid consultations.

The goal is simple: when you schedule time with me, it should be more than a quick introduction and a flyby assessment. I want to have dedicated time to hear what is going on, identify the legal issues, discuss your options and potential next steps, and determine whether my firm is the right fit to help.

My practice has grown considerably beyond handling problems after they arise. In addition to litigation and dispute resolution, I regularly work with individuals, business owners, property owners, community associations, and other organizations on contracts, real estate matters, business transactions, governance, risk management, and ongoing legal needs.

For businesses and organizations in particular, I’m continuing to expand the firm’s Outside General Counsel practice, giving clients an attorney they can call as issues arise without maintaining an in-house legal department.

The philosophy behind my practice remains the same: practical legal advice, straightforward communication, and solutions that make sense in the real world.

This change will allow me to protect the time necessary to serve my existing clients while also giving prospective clients meaningful, dedicated attorney time from the beginning.

And to everyone who has hired me, referred someone to me, shared my name, or simply supported the firm: thank you. The continued growth of my practice has overwhelmingly come from people trusting me enough to recommend me to someone else, and I don’t take that lightly.

I’m honored (pun not intended) to have been selected to serve as Legal Advisor and Outside General Counsel for Honoring Our Heroes.

My practice has long focused on business law, civil litigation, and helping clients navigate complex legal issues. I’m excited to continue expanding that role by serving as trusted outside counsel for organizations seeking practical, strategic legal guidance as they build, operate, and grow.

Honoring Our Heroes is doing incredible work to help veterans and former first responders remain safely in their homes, and I’m proud to play a part in supporting that mission. Thank you to the Board for the opportunity. I look forward to what’s ahead.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about building this practice is seeing the variety and complexity of the matters my clients have trusted me to handle.

Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to work on commercial real estate transactions, business formation and asset acquisition matters, community association governance, construction and property disputes, high-stakes civil litigation, consumer protection claims, and helping local organizations making a real impact in our communities.

Every new engagement has reinforced why I became an attorney in the first place: I enjoy solving difficult problems, developing novel strategies, and helping clients navigate situations where the stakes are real and the results carry a lasting impact.

I’m incredibly grateful to the clients, fellow attorneys, referral sources, and friends who have placed their trust in me and helped make this growth possible. As the practice continues to evolve, my commitment remains the same: provide practical, thoughtful, and strategic legal representation while continuing to build something that serves Northeast Ohio for years to come.

There are some exciting announcements on the horizon that I’m looking forward to sharing soon. In the meantime, thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
