Today, managing partner Dawn Jones spent the holiday morning with many of her fellow sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated chapter project packing 400+ feminine hygiene kits for those in need. Tomorrow we will be back in the office, more grateful, more motivated, more inspired to advocate and serve.

SO proud of the work our State Bar of Georgia has done and continues to do to improve our justice system, protect the public, and advance the science (and practice) of law, as evidenced by the events, presentations, and reports provided during the 2026 MidYear Meeting activities over the last several days. During the Board of Governors meeting Saturday morning, it was my honor to nominate my longtime BFF, Javoyne Hicks, for President-Elect of the State Bar of Georgia. Also, I was encouraged to hear Chief Justice Nels Peterson direct us to "protect and defend the " while providing remarks during that same meeting. I am so very proud to be a member of the Georgia Bar! # RuleofLawMatters

Thousands of containers of pecorino romano cheese were recalled in 20 U.S. states due to potential listeria contamination classified as a Class I recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The cheese products, produced by Ambriola Company, were distributed to both distributors and retail locations, including Sam's Club, between November 3 and November 20, 2025.

The affected states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Maine. The recall was prompted after contamination was detected at Ambriola's New Jersey processing plant, and the company has stated it is working with authorities to ensure consumer safety.

Recalled shredded and grated cheese products sold at stores in at least 20 states have been classified as potentially deadly.
