Without proper separation, movement and stress between different materials can transfer directly into the stucco, contributing to cracking, separation, and deterioration around the pe*******on.

The inspection also identified improper shingle lap and reveal positioning on the roof. The shingles were not installed with the required exposure and positioning specified by the applicable manufacturer installation instructions. This created an excessively long, unsupported portion of the overlying shingles, making them more susceptible to wind engagement and potential detachment from the roof assembly.

Roofing manufacturers provide specific installation requirements for shingle exposure and course positioning because proper installation is critical to the roof's ability to withstand wind and other weather conditions.
