Yesterday, Texas Tech Law Review welcomed its newest Staff Members at our annual New Staff Member Orientation!

The day began in Lanier Auditorium, where members of Volume 59 heard from Law Review leadership and speakers about the year ahead, the editing process, and what it means to be part of the Texas Tech Law Review. Afterward, we traded Bluebooks for golf clubs and wrapped up the day with a social at DoubleTee Golf!

We are excited to welcome our new Staff Members and look forward to everything they will accomplish this year!

Congratulations to Texas Tech Law Review’s Rachel Behnke, Lauren Berry, and Derek Fisher on being named NALAE Academic All-American Advocates.

This national recognition honors law student-advocates who excel in GPA, competition achievement, and leadership and fellowship within their law school and community. Rachel, Lauren, and Derek’s selection is an incredible reflection of their hard work, advocacy skill, and commitment to excellence.

Texas Tech Law was the only law school in the country to have three students recognized across all three disciplines: Trial Advocacy, Appellate Advocacy, and Dispute Resolution. As they all are members of the Texas Tech Law Review, we are are proud to celebrate Rachel, Lauren, and Derek for this outstanding achievement. Congratulations!

Please join us in welcoming Congressman Nathaniel Moran as our 17th Huffman Distinguished Lecturer! Congressman Moran will speak about insights from his legislative and judicial careers.

The lecture will take place on April 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Mark & Becky Lanier Professional Development Auditorium at the Texas Tech University School of Law. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
