What a day. Today we announced our record-breaking SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR settlement for my 76-year-old client Michael Clark who was brutally attacked and tased by Idaho Springs Police just over a year ago. This is the highest settlement ever in Colorado (and as far as my researching can tell, nationally) for a civil rights case not involving death. I did not do it alone. On my right are my incredible staff, Madie and Ally. Patient, smart, and hard-working HEROES who I am nothing without. On my left are Mike's incredible kids, Cindi and Jeremy. EXTRAORDINARY people who have made me laugh, cry, and search for competitively hilarious/angry gifs with more times than I can count. It was an honor to fight for Mike and his family. It was an honor to bring them this outcome. We will never get back what Mike lost. But this is a start.

RELEASE: We have settled 76-year-old Michael Clark's tasing lawsuit against the Idaho Springs PD for $7M. This is a record-breaking settlement in Colorado for a civil rights case not involving wrongful death.
