JURY VERDICT - Dept. 1, Inglewood Courthouse - $9,815,558.00. On June 25, 2022, our client tripped and fell on a set of stairs at The Zimmerman Automobile Museum in El Segundo. As a result of the fall, our client sustained numerous injuries, including a serious injury to her neck, for which she required surgery. The defense denied liability all through trial, claimed there was nothing wrong with their stairs, blamed our client for the fall, and tried every nasty defense trick in the book, including digging through our client’s social media and even blaming her injuries on her weight. The jury saw through the defense’s nonsense and delivered justice in the highest regard to this amazing woman! The jury recognized the FULL value of what was taken from our client, as they awarded exactly what we had asked for — dollar for dollar. The verdict came in as follows: $325,578 in past medical expenses, $200,000 in future medical expenses, $919,800 in past non-economic damages, and $8,370,180 in future non-economic damages, for a total verdict of $9,815,558.00. The jury was unanimous, 12-0, for each and every question on the verdict firm! And, as further vindication, the jury assigned 0% comparative fault against our client and held the defendants 100% responsible!!
