The Bolour Carl Immigration Group crew will be at AIDS Walk Los Angeles with Team LAGLCC (Los Angeles LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce), and we’d love for you to join us, in person or from wherever you are.

📍 West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd, West Hollywood
📅 Sunday, October 18
🕥 Opening Ceremony 10:30 a.m. (arrive early to meet the team and grab photos)
🚶 About a 2-mile route that starts and ends at the park, roughly 45 minutes

This year’s theme is DEFEND CARE. DEMAND ACTION. Every dollar raised stays in LA County and supports APLA Health’s HIV care, prevention, food pantry, housing help and support services for more than 23,000 people.

Thank you to Nelson Mullins for bringing together an important conversation as part of its 8th Annual Pride Seminar.

I was honored to participate in today’s discussion, “LGBTQ+ Immigrants, Enforcement and Human Rights,” addressing the rapidly changing immigration landscape and the unique challenges facing LGBTQ+ immigrants.

We discussed immigration detention, access to HIV medication and gender-affirming care, LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, third-country removals, increased visa scrutiny, workplace concerns, family recognition, and the impact of current enforcement policies on LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

These are complicated legal issues—but behind every policy and every case is a person, a family, and a life affected by the decisions we make.

Thanks Nelson Mullins and my fellow panelists for creating the space for this timely conversation.
