Since 2011, LevittQuinn Family Law Center has partnered with Survivor Justice Center and the LA County Superior Court to provide free representation through the Los Angeles Shriver Child Custody Representation Project.

Through this partnership, LevittQuinn attorneys provide free representation in complex family law cases where the well-being of children is at risk — ensuring that families who cannot afford private attorneys have someone standing beside them in court.

If you are a parent experiencing domestic violence, California family courts are required to consider the impact of that violence when making custody decisions.

Under California law:
— Courts must consider documented incidents of domestic violence when determining child custody arrangements.
— A history of abuse by one parent is a factor the court must weigh in determining what is in the best interest of the child.
— Your immigration status does not affect your right to seek custody or participate in family court proceedings.
