I need your help with something that feels surreal.

My episode (65) of the LawHer Podcast — "Everything You Want: The Neuroscience of Getting to 'YES'" — has been nominated for a Signal Award in the "Best Driveway Moment" category.

Here's the thing: I'm up against Mel Robbins (4.5 million monthly listeners, over 200 million downloads) and The Moth (a storytelling institution). These are giants. Icons. Shows that have built massive, devoted audiences over years.

And then there's me — someone who hasn't built that kind of momentum yet, but who has a message I believe can change how people show up in the world.

In this episode, I share how to become maximally persuasive using your emotional intelligence. It's about getting great results with less stress…. More success with less anxiety…. how every communication is an opportunity to influence through body language, eye contact, cadence, energy, and word choice.

And most importantly, it's about leveraging the irreplaceable human qualities you need to compete and thrive in an AI-dominated world.

We all love Mel Robbins and The Moth — and for good reason. But if my episode is nominated alongside theirs, it's because the message is gaining momentum. Maybe it's because people are starting to recognize that these ideas also matter.

Your vote would mean the world to me. Not just because I want to win, but because every vote amplifies a message that helps people advocate for themselves, negotiate better outcomes, and lead with the kind of emotional intelligence that no algorithm can replicate.

The new website is live locked and loaded with enough content for me to proudly proclaim, “I did it!”

We will be adding more content to reflect the business litigation, domestic violence and civil harassment restraining order work we do, but for now this will get us down the road.

More exciting announcements are coming soon about the new ways I’m serving clients and the additional resources I’m bringing to the table. But for now — there’s this!

I've been practicing law in Los Angeles, serving clients throughout California and beyond, for three decades.

I can't believe I'm that old!

It's been a fascinating career.... I've helped thousands of people who have all types of problems, criminal and civil, and I've represented large and small businesses and individuals too.

Most people are very stressed when they call me -- whether they're businesses or individuals, all of them wonder whether they can afford financially to have an attorney help them with their matter. They wonder if they need a lawyer, and of course they always want to know "Do I have a case?"

Often, these types of problems absolutely require the assistance of a lawyer.

I can only tell you if you have a case after I've had a chance to speak with you, ask you some questions (usually more than just a few) and review the documentation relating to your matter.

I prepared this guide in order to help you save money when you go to hire a lawyer. Download it and I promise it will go a long way towards that. here is the link to download the guide: https://roamhowlcreative.lpages.co/how-to-save-money-on-legal-fees

And if you have any questions -- you can message me here, or text me at 310-993-9766.

Stay well! Jennifer Gardner

Re: 5 THINGS BEING A TRIAL LAWYER TAUGHT ME ABOUT BUSINESS

I’ve been a lawyer for a long time.

I tried so many cases, I lost count.

I won some, and I lost some. But mostly I won.

And when I reflect back on why, there are some big reasons that stand out that I’m going to share with you here.

But first let me say this about that.

What’s striking to me is that these ideas apply to everything I do in business, not just to my law practice.

Better still, they don’t just apply to lawyers. They apply to everyone doing just about everything.

They can apply to you, too.

In no particular order of importance, here they are:

1. Authenticity is a superpower.

2. Vulnerability is an underrated strength.

3. Plain language is the most powerful.

4. You have to continuously and consistently work on all of you to be the most effective, the most influential, the most persuasive.

5. Leaders are bold, they risk and fail forward, even when they are afraid.

Take it or leave it, but either way, I‘d love to hear what you think. Just hit reply and let me know. I’m all ears.

XO/j

DID YOU KNOW...

I also provide crisis public relations, reputation management and digital storytelling/branding services for businesses and enterprises of all sizes.

I can also help you combat the trolls and negative online reviews, the backlash, the fury.

For those of you playing a big game in the digital world, where you are one disgruntled client review away from infamy, you are never so connected, yet never more alone.

These are difficult waters to navigate. Allow me to point the way.

So true.

How I Can Help You

If you are charged with a crime, worried you may be accused of sexual assault, concerned about an escalating dispute with someone you know and in fear for your physical safety, in a dispute involving your business, your property or your reputation, or if you are being sued in a bogus lawsuit...

you are probably extremely stressed right now.

That stress is very likely effecting your family, your work, your relationships, and possibly even your health.

Maybe you’ve tried to “handle things” on your own and you haven’t gotten anywhere.
