Today, on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Women's Equal Pay Day, we recognize the significant pay gap that AAPI women face in the workplace. On average, AAPI women earn only 80 cents for every dollar that white, non-Hispanic men makeâand today marks how far into the year they must work to earn what their counterparts made in the previous year.
At Payton Employment Law, PC, we stand with AAPI women and are committed to fighting against equal pay violations. The California Equal Pay Act prohibits an employer from paying its employees in California less than employees of the opposite s*x, or of another race, or of another ethnicity, for substantially similar work.
If you believe you have been denied equal pay because of your race, ethnicity, or s*x, our team at Payton Employment Law, PC is available to review your situation. We have the knowledge and experience to advocate for your rights and ensure that your voice is heard.
