crime, Ms. Mattern can:
• Work to get the charges against you dismissed or reduced;
• Provide you with a copy of all evidence that the prosecutor has initially provided us;
• We can appear for you in misdemeanor court, leaving you free to go to work, to school, or care for your loved ones;
• Interview involved parties, and any possible witnesses, to expose any lies, exaggerations, or omissions;
• Make sure that evidence obtained by law enforcement was not done so illegally;
• In the event that a plea bargain must be entered, negotiate with prosecutors to make sure you face the minimum possible penalties. Many law firms rely on “case managers” who are typically not lawyers. All of our clients are given immediate access to Ms. Mattern, not a “case manager”. You will never have to discuss your matter with an assistant, legal secretary or paralegal. Mattern does not contract with appearance attorneys, who are often inexperienced and therefore, unfamiliar with the criminal courts. Mattern personally handles each case. Mattern communicates frequently with clients by telephone and by e-mail. Mattern believes that it is important that you are aware of all developments in your matter, so that you can make informed decisions. Also, with YOUR express approval, Ms. Mattern will always be available to answer questions or concerns your family may have.
