Happy July 🇺🇸!

Dear Friends,

It’s hard to believe July is already upon us, which means fireworks, (sorry doggies), family vacations and, for those on the west side, the departure of June gloom. It also means outdoor movies at numerous spots across Los Angeles, as well as many other fun happenings (yes please International Gem and Jewelry show). And from a more practical standpoint it’s not a bad time to think about and schedule any home repairs or updates that should happen prior to the rainy season, which by all accounts, could be a wet one.

Per usual, we are sharing a few of our current faves and, as always, we’d love to hear all about your latest finds.

Jennifer recently planted an herb garden, which will be great for more than just tomatoes with fresh basil or homemade pesto, and will surely add a sophisticated touch to any summer mock or cocktail. Kale is currently feeling super grateful for Klubhouse Calabasas, the wonderful preschool from which her daughter just graduated. It was truly an incredible experience for the whole family. And Nicole is excited to read Inside of a Dog and, maybe, just maybe she will finally learn what her pup, Chewy, is really thinking :)

Happy June!

Dear Friends,

No matter our age, June will always mark the end of a school year and the beginning of summer break. Adult summer camp anyone? Of course, there’s also the joy of summer traffic here in LA, which for some weird reason is always lighter when school’s out. And don’t forget about securing tickets for whichever Hollywood Bowl show strikes your fancy. We are particularly excited about the Tabernacle Choir at the end of the month. As we roll into Summer and start cranking the AC, June is also a good time to clean those filters.

And now, a few things we are up to in early June. Jennifer is taking her spring cleaning up a notch with a decluttering routine known as The Minimalism Game. Beginning on June 1st she will get rid of one thing, June 2nd two, the third 3 and so it goes until the 30th when she must clear out 30 items no longer serving her. Go Jennifer! Meanwhile, Kale is obsessed with her Diptyque Rose scented diffuser. She even takes it with her, room to room, as she moves throughout the house. And Nicole has found yet another creative outlet and is very excited to participate in a paper marbling workshop with her girlfriends.
