How to Vacuum a Pool
A backyard pool is your personal oasis, it provides hours of fun, exercise and calming peace. Unless you hire a pool company to weekly regulate your pool and clean it. One thing that must be done on the regular is vacuuming to remove debris and algae. Manual vacuuming as opposed to automated is a skill, however it offers a much more effective clean, it is inexpensive, and it is less expensive than automated cleaners. First thing you want to do is skim the surface of debris, a leaf rake will do it easily. The next step is to get the vacuum started by turning on your pool pump and attaching the house to the vacuum head. After you have everything set up correctly, lower the vacuum head into the pool and work your way from the shallow end to the deep end of the pool making sure you're hitting all the algae spots and debris on the pool surface. Lastly, make sure you put away the vacuum and hose in a shaded spot, this will keep them from getting sun damage and keep lasting longer.
