It's not a good weekend to visit the beach. Stay safe and check in with the City of Long Beach for updates at longbeach.gov/lbrain

⚠️ WEATHER ALERT 🌊 Although Hurricane Polo is not expected to bring heavy rain, the City of Long Beach is taking precautions along the coast due to high tides, surf and swell.

Residents on the Peninsula and in Belmont Shore are advised to prepare now for high tides and swell activity through Wednesday, Sept. 30, with the highest risk of flooding expected Monday and Tuesday.

📢 If you are able, please STAY AWAY from impacted coastal areas and use caution if you must be nearby.

⚠️ Stay off sand berms and avoid areas where heavy equipment is operating.

🏖️ Sand and sandbags are available at the Claremont Parking Lot, 5400 E. Ocean Blvd. City crews will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Friday, Sept. 25, to assist the community as needed.

Please note: Sand and sandbags are ❌ NOT available at the Lifeguard Station at 72nd Place due to City storm operations.
