Angela Y. McCloud - EXP Realty

Angela Y. McCloud - EXP Realty Number one priority, "educate her client throughout their real estate journey" I'm so proud of my southern roots. I'm married to the man of my dreams.

Angela is a licensed REALTOR® with a combination of contract experience, education, and certification programs to further enhance her abilities and organizational skills. I was born in Washington County, Mississippi, and came on the train to Los Angeles, California at the tender age of two. Raised by wonderful parents, who have been happily married for over fifty (50) years, and three brothers rou

nded off our family of six. These solid roots have instilled a sense of individualism, as well as family pride. Growing up with only brothers challenged me to remain physically active by playing various sports including: volleyball, basketball and softball. It is through organized sports that taught me the importance of being part of a team and being a team player. Family is very important and I am constantly reminded of this through fond memories of my childhood. My Father’s work ethics played a large part in my development from child to adulthood. In addition to having two jobs, my Dad owned his own business. Yet, he always ensured to give our family quality time by taking Saturdays and Sundays off for outings to the beach, followed by dinner. In the ninth-grade I was the only recipient of a “Three (3) Year Perfect Attendance Award,” which became the foundation of my character of persistence and perseverance. While attending high school, I was an honor roll student and continued in my role as a leader by playing sports while also serving as the Associated Student Body President. After graduating high school, I went directly into the workforce, but later enrolled at El Camino College in order to complete a required course to obtain my real estate license. Thoroughly enjoying this course, I chose to further my education by obtaining an Associate’s of Science degree, which has led to a 30-year real estate career. Through a passionate drive for knowledge, I enrolled in cabinetry classes at El Camino, obtaining a Certificate of Completion in cabinet making. I've continued to take various courses in cabinetry, stain glass, sewing, scrapbooking, electrical and framing, resulting in a great passion for construction and interior design. I'm very proud of our blended family of two fine men and “live life to the fullest” daughter. These young adults all have their Master’s degrees – GO TEAM! I thank GOD for my blessings every day and attribute my tenacity, sharp wit, relentlessness, and ethics to a great upbringing and life experiences. My Blog: https://angelaymccloud.com/blog

BOOST YOUR POWER TO PURCHASE
Your buying power isn’t just about what you make — it’s about how strategically you position your finances.
From improving your credit and reducing debt to understanding your financing options and building a stronger financial profile, the right strategy can make a significant difference when you’re ready to purchase a home.
The goal isn’t simply to qualify.
The goal is to put yourself in the strongest position possible.
If homeownership is part of your plan, start preparing before you start shopping.

5 Things to Focus On During Your Home Search

Location — Consider commute times, neighborhood, schools, amenities, and future resale value.
Budget — Know your comfortable monthly payment and leave room for unexpected expenses.
Must-Haves — Separate your non-negotiables from features that would simply be nice to have.
Condition of the Home — Look beyond the staging and pay attention to the roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and overall maintenance.
Future Needs — Think about where you’ll be 3–5 years from now. Will the home still fit your lifestyle?

The right home isn’t just one you love today—it’s one that makes sense for your future.

REAL ESTATE TIP: STICK TO YOUR PURCHASE BUDGET
It’s easy to fall in love with a home that’s slightly outside your budget — especially when you start touring beautiful properties.
But remember: your dream home shouldn’t become your financial stress.
Before you start shopping, determine a comfortable purchase price and monthly payment, then stick to it.
Consider: • Your mortgage payment • Property taxes • Homeowners insurance • HOA fees • Utilities and maintenance • Your savings and emergency fund
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll make. The goal isn’t just to get into the home — it’s to feel comfortable and confident after you move in.
Work with your lender and Realtor to understand what you can afford, not just what you qualify for.
Buy smart. Stay within your budget. Enjoy your home.

Most buyers decide whether a home is worth seeing before they ever book a viewing.
They’re comparing listings side-by-side, watching days on market, checking recent sales, and asking one quiet question:
“Does this home make sense at this price?”

When the answer isn’t immediately clear, buyers don’t negotiate — they move on.

That’s why positioning matters more than most sellers realize.
Not just pricing, but presentation, clarity, and how a home fits into the wider market conversation at launch.

The strongest results usually come from homes that feel obvious to buyers:
Well-aligned, easy to understand, and confidently presented from day one.

If you’re thinking about selling — even months from now — this is the part worth getting right early.
I’m always happy to talk through how buyers are behaving right now and what that means for your home specifically.

No pressure. No obligation.
Just honest insight so you can make informed decisions.

📩 Send me a message if you want to talk it through.
