Today, our family had the privilege of celebrating Sari and her graduating class as they were honored for completing their Master’s Degree program in Speech Pathology at Gallaudet University.

I recently heard something that stayed with me: the inability to communicate with the world around us can be one of the most isolating experiences a person can face. Communication is more than words ,it is connection, belonging, confidence, and relationships.

That’s why I am so proud of Sari. Through her work, she will help children and adults find their voice, build connection, and more fully experience the world around them.

What makes this even more meaningful is that she has chosen a profession built around helping others feel heard, understood, and valued.

Sari, we are incredibly proud of how hard you worked to reach this moment and excited to watch the difference you will make in so many lives.

We love you very much. ❤️

“You have to do what you have to do until you can do what you wanna do.”

Too many lawyers think the beginning is supposed to look polished.

Cortney Walters kept it real. While building her own practice, she was doing doc review on the side just to keep money coming in.

That’s the part people don’t post about.

The lawyers who last are usually the ones willing to do the unglamorous work long enough to earn the freedom they actually want.

I met and through mastermind group, and when he and his wife told me they were coming to the city they made it a point to reach out to see if Gina and me coumd meet up. We grabbed dinner,great food, even better conversation.

It always hits me how meaningful it is when someone comes to town and says, “Let’s get together.” I try to do the same, and when people do it with me, I’m always humbled.

Good people. Genuine connection. Nights like this remind me why relationships matter so much.

Always thinking about my next move ,work, family, health, finances, and of course… relationships.
Some days it feels like a lot. Other days, I actually enjoy the weight of it. Because this isn’t a chess game. This is real life, and every move counts.

Living with intent means being deliberate about how you treat people your family, your clients, your colleagues, the people you claim to care about. You can’t take those interactions for granted. You can’t sleepwalk through your life and call it strategy.

Just remember the way you treat people is the move that defines the whole game.
