After careful consideration, and to protect the health and well-being of our agents, staff, and community, we have decided to reduce our offices to minimal staffing effective at the end of day on Friday, March 20th. Our offices will be operated by our regional managers, and in some instances our admin, to provide limited services during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

One of our core values is innovation, which has driven us to evolve into a company that can efficiently conduct much of our business virtually, and be able to fully support our agents and clients remotely. In addition, we have implemented safety protocols for home showings and open houses due to the ever-changing situation with COVID-19.

In-Office Meetings
While we have advised our agents to only come into the office if absolutely necessary, we understand that there are circumstances that warrant an in-person meeting. Our agents have been instructed to meet clients in the conference rooms, follow social distancing guidelines, and limit interactions to as few people at a time as possible. Staff have been instructed to wipe down the conference rooms following any activity.

Marketing or Buying Consultations
We are prepared to utilize our video conferencing technology to deliver in-home presentations featuring the Verani Home Marketing System or Verani Home Buying System to deliver the same great marketing and buying proposals remotely.

Home Showings
Using either video conferencing or a variety of video chat platforms, our agents are able to take customers on a live virtual walkthrough of a home. In-person showings are still available however, for the well-being of you and our agents, it will follow our safety protocols.

Open Houses
Our Verani Home Marketing System features a digital marketing strategy that identifies the right buyer for your home and yields the strongest offer. This, combined with our ability to host virtual open houses through various platforms and video services, reduces the dependency on in-person open houses. Open houses can still be conducted however, for the well-being of you and our agents, it will follow our safety protocols.

Our commitment has always been to better the lives of our agents, clients, and community. We recognize that this is a fluid situation, and we will continually monitor it and adjust our course of action as necessary.

Home Lighting is very important!

One of the things that make staged homes look so warm and welcoming is great lighting. As it turns out, many of our homes are improperly lighted.

To remedy the problem, increase the wattage in your lamps and fixtures. Aim for a total of 100 watts for each 50 square feet. Don't depend on just one or two fixtures per room, either. Make sure you have three types of lighting: ambient (general or overhead), task (pendant, under-cabinet or reading) and accent (table and wall).

There's a common belief that rooms will feel larger and be easier to use if all the furniture is pushed against the walls, but that isn't the case. Instead, furnish your space by floating furniture away from walls. Re-position sofas and chairs into cozy conversational groups, and place pieces so that the traffic flow in a room is obvious. Not only will this make the space more user-friendly, but it will open up the room and make it seem larger.
