The state of Tennessee attempted to execute Christa Pike around 7:30 pm.. CDT, but failed after Pike was administered two rounds of lethal injection chemicals and was still alive.

Media witnesses were asked to leave the room at 8:53 p.m. CDT, and Pike was taken to the hospital, where she is being treated, according to her attorneys. However, her attorneys said they are currently unaware of her condition.

Gov. Bill Lee then issued a statement, saying that no ex*****ons will happen for the rest of the year and a third party will be reviewing what happened during Pike's attempted ex*****on.

PSA!! On Saturday, September 26, Pulaski County Courts are holding “Get Right With the Court,” giving people an opportunity to address certain court barriers without fear of arrest for unpaid fines, fees, or child support matters. This is such a wonderful opportunity. Thank you to the judges and all involved making this happen!

From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pulaski County Courthouse, judges may be able to reduce or waive unpaid court fines and fees, recall certain child support warrants, recall misdemeanor and felony financial obligation warrants, address certain first failure to appear warrants and help eligible individuals with driver’s license reinstatement

Reentry resources will also be available for employment, housing, education, record sealing, financial planning, and more. Every case will be considered individually, and not every warrant or case qualifies.

For someone carrying years of fines, warrants, license problems, or other court issues, one day like this could open the door to employment, transportation, housing, and stability.

A North Texas official says he covered and unplugged all of his county's Flock cameras — a shutdown he characterized as a stand for local control.
