What a wonderful time we had at this year’s Power of the Purse luncheon! Thank you to the Women's Foundation of Arkansas for hosting such a beautiful and inspiring event celebrating the incredible women making a difference across our state!

One of the highlights of the event was the exciting announcement of the Top 100 Women of Arkansas by Little Rock Soirée magazine and the Women’s Foundation. We are especially proud that TWO WLJ partners made the list!

Please join us in congratulating Judy Henry and Jane Kim on this well-deserved recognition! We are so proud of their leadership, accomplishments and impact.

Do you know where the stock images you use actually come from, and whether you have permission to use them? Using stock images (even from platforms like Canva and Shutterstock) comes with copyright and licensing risks that businesses need to know.

In this recent Little Rock Soirée article authored by WLJ attorney Sara Kate Brown, she breaks down recent trends in copyright enforcement demands, best practices to protect your business, and why that little download receipt might be worth holding onto.

What an inspiring day of innovation and collaboration!

WLJ was proud to support BioVentures Innovation Day and the incredible researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders working to move ideas from discovery to impact.

A special thank you to WLJ IP/Tech partner Blake Glasgow for sharing his insight during the Intellectual Property & Protecting Your Innovation panel session. Blake was also on hand to present the Medical Device of the Year Award to Erica Malone, M.D.; Michael Luna, M.D.; Beau Aguilar; Anthony Gunderman, M.D.; and Alex Gilman, M.D. for the development of a high-fidelity perfused cadaveric simulator for coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG, and ECMO training. The model creates a realistic environment in which multidisciplinary teams can practice complex cardiovascular procedures, build technical skills and improve team coordination before those skills are needed in high-stakes clinical situations.

Thank you to BioVentures for another wonderful event celebrating the people and ideas shaping the future of innovation in Arkansas.
