Can’t let the day end without wishing the Trial Court Assistant for 12th Division, Patrice Carey, a Happy Birthday! She is the machine that keeps 12th Division going, and I couldn’t do what I do without her and the rest of my amazing staff!

In February, 12th Division, had a 97% clearance rate of hearing and resolving cases, while also having an almost 8 day jury trial and holding in court hearings back to back all month. I know that was possible because of Patrice’s experience and leadership! I’m so lucky for the staff I have! Happy Birthday Patrice!

I am beyond amazed, but grateful to be honored by my alma mater as a distinguished alum, especially alongside so many great people! My time at Hendrix College truly were the most formative years of my life. I learned so much about how to think critically about the world and those experiences granted me a rare lens to view society, politics, race, gender, religion, and culture at large. It helped me define who I wanted to be as a human being and how to live that life with purpose in action. I credit Hendrix to this day for many of the doors opened and leading me on the career path I’ve taken thus far. IYKYK Hendrix is truly a uniquely, special gem in the state of Arkansas. Thank you for this honor, but I thank you more Hendrix for creating a safe space in academia for young minds to find their voice and shaping a purpose drive life for myself and others.
