Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Hmong American Mediation Center fundraiser. A special thank you to all the organizations, businesses, and individuals for your generous donations. Although we were not able to get a photo with everyone, we truly appreciate your support.

The vision of HAMC is to bridge cultural gaps within the community by providing mediation and restorative services to families in need. Its mission is to foster mutual understanding between traditional and Western systems, strengthen community and cultural ties, and promote healing while preventing future domestic conflict or harm.

Hmong American Mediation Center, in collaboration with Community Mediation & Restoration Services, is working on harm restoration in juvenile cases. We recently resolved a case together and continue to focus on bridging gaps and providing alternative solutions outside of the court system.

Another huge milestone for the SEA community in Minnesota! So proud of how far we’ve come. Congratulations to Chef Diana Moua!

HAMC will always stand behind positive change and continue working to bridge the gap.

WOW! Just now on Good Morning America - on national TV - Minneapolis City Councilman Michael Rainville announced today is “Chef Diane Moua Day” in the city of Minneapolis! And, in true Chef Diane fashion, her parents and elders are with her to share these milestone moments at Diane's Place!

As a Minnesota Hmong kid, I can’t help but smile seeing us represented on a level like this. Rooting for you always, sister Diane!

A Karen refugee woman, Ma Aeh Doh Lah, who was wrongly detained by U.S. immigration authorities, has been released after being transferred from Minnesota to a detention center in Texas. Her case sparked serious concerns within the Southeast Asian communities across the U.S.

Community members confirmed that she has now been freed but remains temporarily in Texas while arrangements are made for her return to Minnesota.

“She is free now, but she hasn’t reunited with her family yet. That will happen very soon,” a Karen community representative said, according to Burma Insight.

Thank you to the community members and advocates who worked tirelessly to bring justice and accountability in this case.
