Every house has a story.

This one started with a phone call from an older gentleman about a house on Townsend Ave in Girard. He and his brother had inherited the property after their father passed away.

He was ready for a new chapter and wanted to move to Florida, but he needed a little time to get everything in order before making the move.

After purchasing the house, we rented it back to him for a few months while he prepared for that next step.

During that time, we got to know him pretty well... One thing that always brought a smile to his face was talking about his dogs😄. No matter what else was going on, that conversation never got old.

A few months later, he made the move, handed over the keys, and we the renovation began.

At the time, we had no idea this project would end up becoming one of our favorites!😃

Progress over at our project on West Pine in Salem, Ohio. 🔨

The framing and new layout are really starting to come together on this one, and the whole feel of the house is already completely different from where it started.

Projects like this are a big part of what we do at New Horizons Property Group — taking older houses around Northeast Ohio and rebuilding them into solid, functional homes again.
