Freedom delayed is a powerful reminder of why progress must never be taken for granted.
Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and hope.

As we reflect on this important day, we recognize the immense strength, perseverance, and contributions of the Black community throughout history and today. This milestone reminds us that the pursuit of true equality and opportunity requires continuous learning and collective action.

At Brown Immigration Law, we are proud to support and advocate for people from all backgrounds as they pursue their dreams and build their futures. Today, we pause to reflect, celebrate, and recommit ourselves to creating a more inclusive future for all. ❤️💚🖤

Litigation Win: Overcoming a 500+ Day Visa Delay ⚖️

Federal court litigation remains a critical tool in addressing prolonged immigration delays.

We are proud to share a recent success in which our firm defeated a motion to dismiss in a mandamus/APA action involving a visa delay exceeding 500 days. Thanks to the dedicated work of Managing Partner David Brown, Partner Ryan Kelly, and Case Manager Melanie Rasmussen, the court held the line—and the client’s visa has officially been issued. 🙌

While our client has chosen to keep their identity private, this victory highlights a massive systemic truth: when administrative processing becomes unreasonably delayed, judicial review is essential to hold the administration accountable to the rule of law. Best of all, striking down these delays often sets a precedent that protects others facing the same hurdles.

If you or your business are facing unreasonable immigration delays, you don't have to just wait it out. Let’s explore your legal options together.
