How long do you have to file a personal injury lawsuit after an accident?

In Nebraska, you generally have four years from the date of the accident to file a lawsuit. In Iowa, the deadline is typically two years.

Personal Injury Attorney Josh Yambor explains why missing these deadlines could mean losing your ability to pursue a claim. He also discusses why waiting can make it harder to gather evidence, review medical records, and prepare your case.

Please remember: Every case is unique, and deadlines can vary based on the facts and circumstances. This video is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice.
