“Jessica was recommended to me when I began my divorce process and after speaking with a couple attorneys over the phone, I knew right away that Jessica was the right choice for me. I was a newly single mom in the middle of a very difficult time--splitting with my high school sweetheart, partner of 17 years, and father to my two children. I was leaving my marital home and life as a stay-at-home mom for a drastically different reality as a working mom and first-time independent homeowner. My husband and I went into the process on the same page about standard child support and division of assets, and we knew we didn't need a lengthy and expensive legal battle. I chose Jessica because she said right away that she likes to do things by the book and as efficiently as possible, but she will be tough if she has to be. As a mom and a woman, she understands how incredibly difficult divorce already is, and how unhelpful a lengthy and costly legal battle is during an already difficult time. She always remained calm, clear-headed, and cool, even when I was anything but. She had great, professional working relationships with judges, other attorneys, and court reporters. She is clearly well-respected in family court and for good reason. She showed great professional and personal judgement and incredible restraint, even while my husband's lawyer screamed in court and on the phone with other attorneys, showed up late and unprepared, couldn't form coherent arguments, disregarded my husband's well-documented requests for a quick and easy divorce process, and consistently failed to produce necessary documents on time, an ethics violation. Throughout his wild antics, Jessica remained dignified, and I was so glad to have her on my side and confident that she could handle him gracefully, despite her never seeing behavior like his in court before. This divorce was my first exposure to the courts and legal system, and I couldn't have had a better experience with Jessica. She showed me how truly invaluable it is to have someone in your corner who's smart, sharp, strong, compassionate, and clear-headed, especially during one of the most difficult periods of your life.”
