Reynolds, 2025 IL App (2d) 240028 (Nov. 24, 2025), the Illinois Second District Appellate Court clarified an important point for parents: under Section 610.5(a) of the IMDA, a parent who wants to modify parenting time only now needs to show just a simple change in circumstances — not a substantial one.

This decision lowers the legal burden for parents hoping to adjust their parenting time schedules.
