It is with sadness that we learned of the passing of our former colleague, Tom Finucane.

Tom joined our firm on April 1, 2008. During his time with us, Tom was always willing to share the knowledge he had accumulated over many years as a municipal solicitor and general practitioner. His love of history was evident, and he adorned our Chambersburg Office with many historical maps and prints. He retired from the firm in 2016. Tom was dedicated to the Chambersburg community and gave of his time and resources to many community organizations. He will be missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tom’s family, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time. We are grateful for the years he spent with our organization and will remember him fondly.

Our Municipal Group joined municipal authority leaders from across Pennsylvania at the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA) Annual Conference in Erie.

Salzmann Hughes attorneys Lee Stinnett and Luke Gibson presented “How Can We Assist? Optimizing Your Authority’s Use of Its Solicitor,” covering the Sunshine Act, recent statutory changes and case law, and common issues municipal authorities face during board meetings.

The session also explored practical ways boards and staff can work with their solicitor to keep meetings productive, orderly, and legally compliant.

Over the past decade, Justin has developed extensive experience in municipal law, real estate matters, and collections, serving clients throughout Central Pennsylvania.

Since joining Salzmann Hughes in 2017, Zach has established a strong municipal law practice, advising clients on matters including zoning and land use, code enforcement, water and wastewater management, stormwater regulations, and litigation.

Both Justin and Zach have demonstrated a consistent commitment to their clients and to the work they do on behalf of the communities they serve. We’re pleased to recognize their contributions and welcome them into their new roles as Shareholders.
