Eighth Tip (Again): Pivoting Is Part of the Journey

For the first four years, this Single Family Home has served Traveling Nurses, Doctors, Military members/Veterans/other professionals, and 2nd Chance Tenants.

Our first pivot/repurpose started in Mar 2025 when we decided to provide Second-Chance Housing for Reentrants and ADAPT recoverees returning to society.

This Single Family Home now has a new purpose: Providing a safe and welcoming place for a Disabled Woman in need. ❤️

Every transition has been rewarding in its own way. That said, seeing this home emptied of furniture after four years of being fully furnished definitely feels bittersweet—and it’s also a reminder of just how spacious this home really is! 😂

The Fully Furnished/Utilities Included Transitional Rental period for this Single Family Home has officially ended (for now), and the Traditional Rental (pest control included) period is now beginning.

After my team conducted the first Home Inspection for one of our newer Families in Need Tenants, they noted that the grass appeared to have not been cut in awhile. 🌱😂

We tend to give everyone grace especially our newer Tenants while they’re getting settled. BUT… grass apparently does not believe in grace periods! 😂

Because I would hate for something as simple as an overgrown lawn to interfere with them receiving another Rental Agreement—or worse, result in a fine from the city that ultimately becomes another bill for them—I immediately reached out and reminded them that the grass needed to be cut, especially since they are still within their Trail Period.

I gave them a timeframe to take care of it themselves or informed them my team would have to handle it at their expense.

They got it done, sent us a photo, and actually appreciated us reaching out. ❤️

Sometimes, providing 2nd Chance Housing is simple: Communication, accountability, and reminders to help people stay on track.
