New, Bigger, Better TV:

“I had a 42″ projection television from one of the major manufacturers. It had been a good set, but one day it started developing a blue blob across the screen. The set was over 4 or 5 years old, so I knew there was no warranty for this problem.

I called the manufacturer, and they told me it had a bad “color engine” and it would be $1300.00 to repair… which actually meant I needed to buy a new TV.

However, since I’m a LegalShield member, I thought that maybe, just maybe, there might be a middle solution. So I called the law firm. When the lawyer called, he asked for some information about the set, and he said he would look into it. 4 hours later, he calls me and says “Mr. Live – that particular model of TV has been very troublesome for this manufacturer… there is a class action suit, as well as several other suits against them.

"I ran into a huge pot-hole at a local home improvement store that did serious damage to the suspension on my truck. When I called the store and spoke to the manager, she was uninterested and rude - she actually asked, 'If it was that big, why didn't YOU see it?'. (Fact: after raining hard the night before, the pot-hole was filled with water.) The point is, I damaged my truck on their property because of their lack of maintenance in the parking lot. That manager tried ending the conversation by saying, 'Okay, I'll talk to someone about getting the pothole fixed.' When I asked about the damage to my truck, she took down my info and said she'd send it to the insurance department. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing so I called LegalShield and told my law firm what happened. My law firm called that home improvement store, spoke to management, and called me back to say their insurance company would call me within a few days (and to let them know if they didn't). That same day, their insurance agent called - I explained what happened, he told me to get a couple estimates and said he'd have a check in the mail within 3 days. AUTO ACCIDENT
"Last week my wife and I were in a horrible auto accident. An uninsured driver ran a red light while we were turning left on a green arrow. Our car was totaled and we sustained injuries which we're still dealing with today. The first thing we did was call LegalShield. The lawyer who called us back an hour later gave us advice on how to handle the insurance company, the dealership, and the rental car company; he told us the insurance company would low ball us on the value of our 3-year old car, and they did -- they offered $12K, but after I told them my lawyer told me to ask for comparisons to show value, the next minute they upped the payoff to $15K. A lawyer called us back within five minutes and told us he'd review them in the morning. The next day, a lawyer called us and went over the agreement, page by page. We decided to sign. Amazing peace of mind!! There were no charges for any of these services beyond our low monthly fee."

Tax refund?????

"I was told by my (very expensive) Enrolled Agent that I couldn't claim certain items on my tax return. He was the expert, so we went ahead and filed our taxes. Trading a vehicle?
