$550,000 SETTLEMENT ON THE EVE OF TRIAL

Pellettieri Rabstein & Altman attorney Timothy Hinton secured a $550,000 settlement on behalf of a State of New Jersey employee who suffered serious injuries due to unsafe conditions at a commercial property.

Our client fell while exiting the building during a fire alarm due to inadequate lighting and tripping hazards. Her injuries ultimately required spinal surgery.

The matter was resolved for $550,000 on the eve of trial.

PRA attorney Jeffrey Monaghan recently helped coordinate an American Red Cross blood drive at St. James Church that collected 39 units of blood — enough to help approximately 117 hospital patients.

The event brought together 35 donors, including four first-time donors.

Pellettieri Rabstein & Altman is proud to recognize attorneys Sherri L. Warfel and Steven J. Rogers, Jr. for a significant appellate victory in Estate of Jean M. Early v. Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, et al.

In its August 14, 2026 opinion, the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division addressed important issues involving nursing home residents’ rights, standards of care, expert testimony, causation, medical records and the Scafidi increased-risk doctrine.

Among its rulings, the Appellate Division reversed the dismissal of claims brought under the New Jersey Nursing Home Responsibilities and Rights of Residents Act against CareOne and remanded those claims for a new trial.

Congratulations to Sherri and Steve for their work advocating on behalf of the Estate.

$200,000 Personal Injury Settlement

When two pedestrians were struck by a negligent driver reversing out of a supermarket parking space, they turned to Pellettieri Rabstein & Altman for help.

Attorney Steven Rogers promptly secured and reviewed the supermarket’s surveillance footage, helping build a strong case. Less than one year after the incident, the insurance carrier tendered its full policy limits, resulting in a $200,000 pre-suit settlement for our clients.
