The best and hardest job I have is representing kids who have been through more than I could ever fathom.
Because who could fathom someone breaking a kid in the ways I see so often?
Too often my clients lack the words, or the platform, to share their experiences.
But one has found the words so many others want to say,
and asked me to share them with you.
It's the least I could do to share, and the least we could do to read them.
“I had grown up with it. I had grown up with you. I now know what a terrible person you are. You're a fake. You had everyone thinking our life was perfect, and it would have been if you weren't in it. I have never hated a person so much. Not only did you do terrible things to me, but you did it to your youngest daughter, too. Were you going to do it to the children in our family? That's my worst fear.
You took our innocence at such a young age. I remember having panic attacks thinking someone would find out you would do those things to me, because I thought you'd be mad and do something horrible to me. That's the sole reason I never told. I was always afraid of you. I always acted clingy around you because I never wanted you to think I didn't love you or you would hurt me.
I'm so glad you are gone.
I've never been happier without a person in my life. I now have so many talents. I'd like to think you're proud of me, but I don't care if you are or aren't. The only thing I care about is you going to prison and never getting out. I hope you get what you deserve once everyone in there finds out what you did.
I do love you, but only the you when we were around family, the fake you. The loving father facade. . . I hope you're driven mad by the guilt of it, as you should be.
You said sorry a few times. That's very vivid to me, but you're manipulative. "One last time,"you'd say over and over. "I'm so sorry. It'll never happen again," you would cry to me.
You were never sorry.
You always continued. The vile things you did and made me do will forever stick with me. Neither, me nor my family will ever forgive you. You do not deserve to be a dad, a husband, or a respected person. I refuse to call you dad, because not once did you ever deserve that title.
I hate you. I could never love you ever again. I [wrote] this note to you with rage and disgust. I never would of thought that a grown man would want to do such vile things to a child, not one, but two.
How dare you.
It makes me nauseous thinking about the things you did to me and made me do to you. I'm a victim of your actions and thoughts. I don't think I ever really sincerely loved you.
We have had to change furniture because the memories were in them. You traumatized me so badly we had to change furniture.
Why did you have kids? To have kids of your own to fe**sh? To have kids of your own to look at in a horrible, disgusting way? You can tell yourself all you want that one day I'll forgive you or that I really did love you. I don't care.
None of those things are true and, deep down, you know it. Words cannot describe how enraged I am.
May the Lord have mercy on you and forgive you because I know I never will."
