Got in late and got up early! We are celebrating 24yrs at Christ Fellowship today and when my daughter found out I was making cornbread, she said "IT BETTER BE CRACKLING CORNBREAD!". I also have to make her one to take home 🤣

Who else cooks their cracklings before mixing it into the cornbread mixture? My Grandmother's and Great Grandmother's always did, so I do too! I tried it before without cooking them and it was ok but definitely better with cooked cracklings. I wish I knew someone with fresh cracklings, if y'all know someone please LMK!

And yes, we cook in cast iron skillets around here! All of mine except one were handed down to me ☺️

Also, IT'S ALMOST CROCKPOT SEASON Y'ALL!!! 🥳 And I can feel fall in the air!🍂🍁
Who's excited about that??? I certainly am because it means COLLEGE FOOTBALL 🏈
