The Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority joins the nation in honoring the life and enduring legacy of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., a visionary leader whose voice, courage, and conviction helped shape the course of American history.

Rev. Jackson stood as a champion for economic justice, civil rights, and community empowerment. Through decades of advocacy, he challenged institutions to expand opportunity and invest in communities that too often had been overlooked. His work reminded us that true progress is measured not only by growth but also by who benefits from it.

As we continue our mission to advance equitable development and create pathways to economic opportunity throughout Prince George’s County, we do so mindful of the foundation laid by leaders like Rev. Jackson. His legacy calls us to lead with vision, serve with compassion, and work collectively toward a future where all communities can thrive.

We honor his life, his leadership, and his unwavering commitment to justice and hope.

The Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of Clyopatra Winery & Village Vineyard Resort in Laurel, Maryland, founded by visionary Ifeoma C. Onyia.

This transformational 41-acre development is more than a winery. It represents a bold investment in what is possible in Prince George’s County, blending innovation, culture, and education to inspire future generations. As the first African immigrant-owned winery and vineyard in the United States, this project stands as a powerful symbol of vision, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.

We are honored to support this project that reflects the strength of entrepreneurship in our county and contributes to a vibrant, forward-looking economic landscape for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

Dear Friends,
After years of service as Deputy State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, I am announcing my resignation from this role and stepping into a new chapter as Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County under the leadership of County Executive Aisha Braveboy.
This is a full-circle moment for me, having previously served as General Counsel to the Authority, where I had the privilege of working on many transformative projects. It’s an exciting time to return, as we continue shaping the future of our communities through strategic development, equity, and opportunity.
I am deeply grateful to my colleagues in the State’s Attorney’s Office for their tireless commitment to justice, public safety, and service. I carry those same values with me as I take on this new role focused on smart growth and revitalization.
Thank you for your support—and stay tuned. The best is yet to come!
Sincerely,
Perry

It was a pleasure to be part of The Solid Inc.’s inaugural podcast focused on addressing crime in Prince George’s County. I appreciated the thoughtful discussion around reducing domestic violence in our county. Thank you for assembling thought leaders to share insights on how we can work together to keep the most vulnerable members of our community safe.

I had the pleasure of joining the AARP Suitland MD Chapter for their Summer BBQ and speaking about something close to my heart—protecting and serving our seniors.

From fighting elder abuse to preventing scams that target older adults, I remain committed to making sure our seniors feel safe, valued, and supported.

Thank you for the warm welcome and for creating such a wonderful space for community and connection.
