South Carolina State Grange

South Carolina State Grange The Grange movement is designed to combat rural poverty. The Grange combats rural poverty through multiple avenues.

We openly acknowledge the creators role in our lives; however, we do not affiliate with any church denomination. We are willing to organize politically; however, we do not support any specific candidate or political party. We acknowledge the difficulty in the law making process as a challenge to overcome, and are willing to step up to the challenge. We recognize agriculture as the chief source of income for the rural US, and using income to combat poverty we are the patrons of husbandry.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

The Grange is a unique, fun-loving yet hard-working group, which is dedicated to community service, legislative advancements, and personal development. We are not born knowing what the perfect words of condolence; though we show love and support as best as we know how. We must respect the dead and continue to live. We all have a journey and leaving a life behind is an honor.

Past State Master John Hammett led the SC State Grange through some very difficult years. The state Grange survived until the next generation was able to take it on.
