Rachel has worked as a part-time Legal Assistant intermittently throughout high school, college and grad school, recently receiving her M.S. Ed in School Psychology. Though she loves her team and working at GLF, Rachel’s true passion is working with children and young adults. She continues to support the team as she works toward her advanced certification in Psychology and has promised not to “practice” her psych tricks on her work family!

Cindy Lucitt | Title Examiner

A true New Yorker at heart, Cindy has an adventurous spirit! She now lives in Michigan where she bikes, enjoys the water, and hits the road on many trips with her husband. Before specializing in title work, Cindy started her legal career as a real estate paralegal. She, therefore, understands every aspect of the real estate closing. As a title examiner, Cindy carefully studies real property records leaving no stone unturned, which means accurate reporting and no surprises for our clients!

Ariel E. Van Alstine | Title Officer

Ariel brings a wealth of knowledge to our title team, drawing from many years of experience (she started working in title at 15 years old!) When she’s not examining title, you can find Ariel working at one of her two businesses: a day spa she owns with her mom in Clifton Park and a drafting company she owns with her wife. Though we’re not sure how she finds time to do anything but work, work, work, Ariel is a fan of road trips, concerts and traveling! Oh, and she hates snakes!

As the youngest of a family of 7 on a 180-acre farm, Janice understands what it’s like maintaining focus throughout chaos while moving in concert with a team. She combines her strong sense of teamwork with over 20 years of experience to keep transactions running smoothly from start to closing (no wonder how she got her nickname). Outside of the office she loves gardening, traveling with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

Darcy L. Bassett | Paralegal

“My best memory from a closing was around 15-17 years ago. We had a tough transaction and we got to the closing table just before the holidays and once the closing was over, the little boy who was there with his mom said, “can we go home now?” It melted my heart, and it has stayed with me all these years. We make dreams come true, one closing at a time!”

With over 27 years of experience, Darcy is elemental in getting transactions closed and making sure her clients are well-serviced and informed throughout the buying and selling process.

With 29 years of experience, Bobbie is on the ball working with attorneys, banks, and the clients themselves, tracking each case from beginning to closing with a strong team-focused mindset. Even though Bobbie only played as an extra in a Hollywood movie, she’s a star in our eyes!

She has a trained eye for organization, structure, and balance, which she uses to make sure the whole team is happy, in sync and focused.
