On October 20, 2026, the Honorable Jacqueline M. Bluth from the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada, Department 6, resigned effective January 5, 2027. As such the Commission on Judicial Selection will convene to fill the vacancy. The application period opens October 21, 2026, and submissions are due by noon on November 18, 2026.

The State Bar of Nevada Paralegal Division is hosting The Future of Practice, a year-end CLE conference on AI, ethics, and wellness, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 6, at the State Bar of Nevada in Las Vegas.

The in-person program is worth 3 CLE credits, includes breakfast, lunch, and raffle drawings, and is free for Paralegal Division members ($135 for non-members).
