New Deep Stretch and Restore Class
Mitchell announced the introduction of a new "Deep Stretch and Restore" class starting August 3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon Pacific time, replacing a previous credit-based system with a simple $10 weekly fee. Guided Exercise and Breathing Session
Mitchell led a guided exercise session, guiding participants through various movements, including breathing exercises, arm curls, triceps extensions, kickbacks, lunges, and shoulder stretches. The session incorporated specific breathing patterns with each exercise, emphasizing proper form and relaxation techniques throughout. The workout concluded with a forward bend stretch and a final breathing exercise, then ended the session.
Fitness Class Breathing Techniques Discussion
The meeting focused on a fitness class session, with participants asking questions about breathing techniques during exercises. Mitchell clarified that for stretching exercises with weights, participants should exhale to achieve a full stretch, whereas for yoga movements like arm raises, inhaling helps achieve better alignment. Alice commented that incorporating more squats into the 30-minute session had increased her fatigue in a positive way, which Mitchell found valuable feedback for adjusting the class content. The session also addressed technical issues with multiple devices connected to the meeting, which needed to be resolved to ensure proper audio.
