Big news from our firm 🎉 Founding attorney Africa A. Sanchez has joined the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada — the nonprofit that has provided free legal help to Southern Nevadans since 1958.

From pro bono cases to mentoring UNLV Boyd Law students, Africa's partnership with Legal Aid Center goes back to the firm's first days in 2014.

Today, we celebrate freedom, family, and the beautiful stories that make this country home.
For some, America is generations deep. For others, it's a dream still unfolding. But one thing connects us all: the hope for opportunity, the love of family, and the right to pursue a better future.
As the daughter of immigrants, I know that every American story is unique. Some stories began long ago. Some are just beginning. And all deserve to be celebrated.

Hoy no hablamos de regalos ni de corbatas. Hoy hablamos de los papás que se levantan antes que todos, que trabajan turnos dobles, que llegan cansados pero aún así se sientan a ayudar con la tarea. Los que cargan el peso sin quejarse. Los que dan todo para que su familia tenga más de lo que ellos tuvieron.

Los primeros superhéroes no usan capa. Usan botas de trabajo, uniforme, o simplemente las manos cansadas de un día largo.

Su ejemplo nos formó. Su sacrificio nos hizo quienes somos.

Lo que muchos creen que es una limitación, en realidad es una ventaja.
Si tienes más de 50 años y llevas tiempo con tu residencia, el proceso de ciudadanía tiene beneficios que probablemente nadie te ha explicado:

🔹 50+ años con 20 años de residencia: puedes tomar el examen en español.
🔹 55+ años con 15 años de residencia: también puedes tomarlo en español.
🔹 65+ años con 20 años de residencia: solo tienes que estudiar 20 preguntas.

Tu edad y tus años en este país no te alejan de la ciudadanía. Te acercan.
Yo lo he visto en mi oficina una y otra vez. Clientes que llegaron pensando que no podían, que el examen era imposible, que ya era muy tarde. Y hoy son ciudadanos americanos.
Con preparación, dedicación y la guía correcta, sí se puede.
