U.S. Sentencing Commission’s (USSC) Amendment 821
Effective November 1, 2023 - Retroactive Application

The United States Sentencing Commission’s Amendment 821 became effective on November 1, 2023. Defendants convicted of certain federal offenses may qualify for a sentence reduction under Amendment 821 as a “Zero Point Offender” (i.e. Zero Criminal History Points under the USSG’s) and those who received “Status Points” under the prior USSG’s in effect prior to November 1, 2023.
