A little background on this. I never really post about my setttlements but sometimes people tell me “I didnt know you did injury cases.” This is is WHAT WE DO!
Our client stepped into my office after being dropped by his previous attorneys (big firm) with no real explanation. Before coming to me, he had visited with many attorneys and no one was willing to assist him He had visited many attorneys all around south Texas. The Client was from out of the county and not from Laredo. He told me, “Mr. Del Barrio just be honest with me and let me know if you think I should just let it go. You will be the last person I speak to if you advise to let it go.” I liked the case. After meeting with him for about an hour or so and doing a little research, I liked the case even more. The injuries were there. I signed him up and asked if he minded if I brought someone else to assist. We were running up against time with the statute of limitations approaching quickly.
I called my good friend Adrian Chapa and explained the situation and he agreed to come on board. We filed a lawsuit, went to work and obtained a large confidential settlement for our client.
