Please join us in congratulating our Chairman, Jim Saxton, who received the Scouting America Pennsylvania Dutch Council’s Distinguished Citizen Award last night in recognition of his years of leadership and service.

The Honorable Lawrence Stengel (Ret.) introduced Jim before an audience of 300 guests, including 10 past honorees. The evening brought together family, friends, and colleagues, including past and present members of the Saxton & Stump team, to celebrate the occasion.

The award reflects the lasting impact of Jim’s leadership, his commitment to serving others, and the relationships he has built throughout his career. His vision has helped shape Saxton & Stump and the collaborative, forward-thinking culture that continues to guide our firm.

Saxton & Stump extends heartfelt congratulations to Shareholder Michael “Mike” P**a, who will retire at the end of this year following a distinguished legal career spanning more than three decades.

For the past 11 years, Mike has been an integral part of Saxton & Stump, helping build and strengthen our medical professional liability defense practice. Throughout his career, he has earned the trust of physicians, nurses, hospitals, practice groups and other healthcare providers across Pennsylvania through his thoughtful counsel, skilled advocacy and unwavering commitment to client service.

“Mike has been an integral part of our firm since its earliest days,” said Chairman James W. Saxton. “His sound judgment, integrity and unwavering commitment to clients have shaped our culture and strengthened our litigation team. The impact he has had on his colleagues, the attorneys he has mentored, and the clients he has served will be felt for years to come. We are grateful for all he has contributed and wish him and his family the very best in this well-earned next chapter.”
