💗 What an amazing community we have!

Lopez & Humphries was honored to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida’s POWer in Pink 5K at Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland.

We actually debated whether to mention the personal side of today. We don’t usually share much about our own experiences when we’re posting about the organizations and causes we support. But leaving this part out didn’t feel right.

Mrs. Humphries, a two-time breast cancer survivor, participated in the 5K this morning. 💗

So while we were there as a sponsor, we were also there as a family — walking alongside a community of survivors, loved ones, caregivers and supporters who understand just how much this disease can change a life.

And we have to give a special shoutout to Ashley Lloyd. As Executive Director of the BCFCF (Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida) and a survivor herself, Ashley and many others have taken something deeply personal and turned it into meaningful support for other local families facing breast cancer. The Foundation provides financial assistance to help with real-life expenses during treatment — the kind of help that can make an incredibly difficult season just a little easier.

That’s what stood out to us this morning.

Not just the pink shirts.
Not just the 5K.
But people showing up for people.

We’re grateful we got to be part of it. 💗

We spent the day filming some new TV commercials with our friends at Potthast.

We’ve filmed together quite a few times over the years, and they have a way of making something that can feel a little awkward like being in front of a camera, feel pretty easy.

Good people, good laughs, and somehow we actually get some work done, too. 😉

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the Polk County community will come together for the 2026 Fallen Heroes Ride, honoring the 39 Polk County law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The ride will travel from the Polk County Law Enforcement Memorial in Lakeland to Lake Wales Park, with multiple Polk County agency motor units providing an es**rt.

We’re grateful to support this meaningful event and the Polk County Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, Inc. as a sponsor. More than anything, we’re thankful for the opportunity to stand alongside our community in remembering and honoring those who gave so much.
