BIG NEWS FOR FLORIDA HOMEOWNERS 🏠✨

Florida voters may soon have the opportunity to decide on one of the largest property tax relief proposals in state history with the “Save our homes from excessive property taxes”

Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers have approved a constitutional amendment that will appear on the November ballot. If approved by at least 60% of voters, the proposal would increase Florida’s Homestead Exemption from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and potentially to $250,000 in 2028, helping many homeowners reduce their property tax burden. The proposal would apply to primary residences with a Homestead Exemption and would not affect school district taxes.

What could this mean for homeowners?
☑️ Lower annual property tax bills
☑️ Increased affordability for Florida residents
☑️ Additional savings for homesteaded properties

The proposal is expected to be one of the most closely watched issues on Florida’s November ballot. 60% of vote approval is needed to become enacted.
