Managing Partner Chris Wesierski, Partner Mary Kim, and Paralegal Joanna Morales just obtained a defense verdict in Downtown Los Angeles after 6 days of trial. Plaintiffs sued for breach of contract and bad faith asserting that the insurance carrier had not paid them coverage for additional living expenses of $7,000 nor paid them to repair their home after someone firebombed their home.
They allege that, after producing hundreds of documents and after three years, the insurance carrier paid them nothing. The plaintiffs demanded $5,560,000 at trial. They were offered $500,000 by a statutory offer which they turned down.
The jury returned the verdict in less than 2 hours for the defense.
