We are always in need of volunteer attorneys.

Attorneys, if you would like to volunteer to help our community through our free legal advice clinics, notary services in the homeless shelters or by taking on a pro bono case, please complete the form listed on our website at swlabf.org/volunteer/

Have CINC Certification?
Our area has a tremendous need for attorneys who can take Child in Need of Care cases. Due to our grant specifications, you would be representing the children and we only handle CINC cases in Allen, Beauregard and Jefferson Davis parishes.

We thank you for providing these services in our community.

Welcome to the Southwest Louisiana Bar Foundation.

We are excited to have an organized pro bono program in Southwest Louisiana. Through the attorneys from our local bar association who generously donate their time, we serve residents in:
• Allen Parish
• Beauregard Parish
• Calcasieu Parish
• Cameron Parish
• Jefferson Davis Parish

Our services include:

• Pro bono legal services for those at poverty level who may not have access to a lawyer or legal assistance. These individuals must qualify through Acadiana Legal Service, a private, non-profit law firm.
• Free legal advice to the public, offered at various locations throughout our 5 parishes.
• Notary services for the homeless in local shelters through H.E.L.P.

The Southwest Louisiana Bar Foundation holds free legal advice clinics, provides notary services in homeless shelters and offers other community services throughout the year.

Those who need free legal services should contact Acadiana Legal Service to learn about eligibility requirements. Acadiana Legal Service may be reached at 337.439.0377 or online at www.la-law.org.

To find out more please visit swlabf.org or contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at 337.564.6413.
