Laissez les bons temps rouler.. sort of, when a Krew tosses and giant bag of unopened beads and no one was fast enough to catch before it hit my poor husband took a full facial whack. Fortunately Amelia didn’t see the exact whack but we all sure can see the after effects even his hand where he tried so hard to NOT fully got whacked. He didn’t need an ER but If you see your lawyer this week and wanted to hand him special beads please bring one strand at a time. 💕😂😂Every year one of our family members seems to take a mild whack and about every 10 years Wade takes the major whack one year it was his nose this time his face. He was a mess and all he could say was “I need a drink now, I really need a strong bloody Mary” he got his drink and ice packs and bandaid for hand. Pic is of cleanup at NO apartment. I’m now formally requesting please do not throw unopened large bags of beads and good thing it wasn’t Amelia because I do think Wade would have hoped that float and tossed them off their float. Heck I wanted to. Thankful for the older kids being champs also and assisting all of us , yes we may have minor scuffs but Wade took the major one. Wish I had the picture of when his nose went down that was an ER trip. Anyway happy Mardi Gras just wanted to prepare all clients their lawyer was a bead victim. Anyone have any ideas how to get the swelling down on his right eye? We have tried ice of course but surely there’s an old Cajun recipe for bead damage. Drop all advice please in comments. One year Hunter ( oneof our sons) was hit and he was one heck of a baseball player and ID’d who hit him took the bag and threw it right on back and Knocked a Bacchus thrower off. That was funny. One of the kids may have footage on their Razr phones (the in style at the time before iphone) I think Lauren (one of our daugters) took video. We didn’t have Hunter or the bigger grands to aim back this time. Anyway our daughter; Amelia and little grands probably have 75 bags each of beads anyone needing beads let us know. We will donate as always. And thank you for any advice to lesson the wound appearance. Nope he won’t wear makeup (that was us girls advice). I promise all he is okay I’m just trying to find a good old fashioned recipe to heal the black eye swelling and abrasions. Other than that we have had a blast this Mardi Gras. 💜💛💚⚜️
